Management Committee

Our Preschool is a registered charity. The running of our successful, friendly and happy community setting would not be possible without the voluntary help and support of our management committee.

Our committee is principally made up of parents and carers of current or past Preschool attendees. All our committee members act as trustees for the charity, and work closely with the Preschool management team to ensure the Preschool business complies with all of our constitutional, legal and financial obligations. 

Alongside ensuring governance and compliance, a key activity for our committee is to fundraise for our Preschool.

All members of our management committee have been vetted through the Disclosure and Barring Service, and our 3 Directors/Trustees (Chair, Treasurer & Secretary) are also registered with Ofsted.

Join our Committee

As highlighted above, without the willing people who volunteer their time to support our community, and in particular our youngest members, by joining our Preschool committee we are unable to operate as a business or charity. 

We are always looking for new members who are willing and able to help us shape and deliver the best childcare and pre-school age development in our area. There is no requirement to be a parent, simply to have a passion for supporting the next generations in our community.

 

We ask for a commitment of approx 4-6 evenings per academic year (1-2 per term) to attend committee meetings and 2-3 days per annum to support Preschool or fundraising events.

Our meetings are held in the Preschool at Cowling Village Hall.
